A Learning Management Systems(LMS) is software that provides academic staff with a coursework shell to manage an online learning environment. At UWA, the centrally supported LMS is WebCT (by Blackboard).
WebCT
A commercially developed Learning Management System, WebCT is a set of easy-to-use design tools for constructing an online unit. Academic staff also have access to a set of administrative tools to assist them in managing and continuously improving a unit.
