Creating Assignments in UWA's LMS (WebCT)

Workshop Description:Have you wanted to: Evaluate student's progress using individual, group or custom assignments? Allow students to create and publish their own online presentations, websites or wikis? Allow students, particularly postgraduates, to submit draft of their work?
If you answered yes to one of more of these questions, then you will find LMS Assignments are an alternate way to evaluate student progress and understanding. This workshop will enable you to create assignments to achieve your educational objectives. Learning Outcomes:After completing this workshop, participants will be able to: - Describe the LMS Assignment Life Cycle and identify staff and student tasks
- Describe the types of assignments available
- Explain how to use various types of assignments to achieve different educational objectives
- Differentiate options for grading assignments
- Identify strategies to manage question effectively within the Question Database
- Create an assignment and explain the options for editing its properties
- Submit an assignment as a student
- Grade submitted assignments and provide feedback
