Embedding Communication Skills Across the Curriculum

Workshop Description:

Developing students' generic skills - and particularly their ability to write and present coherently - is a priority issue across the University. This workshop will offer practical suggestions for embedding the development of communication skills across the curriculumm in all disciplines.

The focus of the workshop will be development of strategies for enhancing both students' understanding of the content and their ability to write effectively.

The workshop draws on current research on student learning and will include examples from disciplines as diverse as maths, psychology and history.
