UWA Projects:

The CATLyst Network
The CATLyst network consists of local appointees within the faculties who work with CATL in promoting Teaching and Learning within the faculties and broader UWA community.  In 2009 - 2010 the Network is  develop training and resources to support sessional staff within individual faculties and supporting the overall activities of CATL

The UWA Teaching Criteria Framework
The Teaching Criteria Framework has arisen out of UWA's involvement in the national Teaching Quality Indicators (TQI) project (see above).  The framework has been adopted by the University as the basis for the development of the teaching component of the academic portfolio.

ULTRIS (Undergraduate Learning and Teaching Research Internship Scheme)
This scheme aims to provide undergraduate students with a comprehensive research experience focused on teaching and learning at UWA.  The scheme was piloted in 2009 through CATL and the ALTC Support Office, and funding is currently being sought to run the scheme again in 2010.

Academic Conduct Essentials
Academic Conduct Essentials (ACE) is a compulsory on-line module for all new students at UWA which introduces issues of ethical scholarship and expectations for academic conduct at UWA.  CATL was involved in the development of the modules content, and currently administers the unit for the University.   

Communication Skills Framework
The Communication Skills Framework is a conceptual framework for the coherent, incremental, explicit and cyclic development of students’ communication skills, conceptualised and developed by Denise Chalmers, Siri Barrett-Lennard and Nancy Longnecker, for the Communication Skills Working Party as part of the Future Framework reforms
