The CATLyst network is coordinated by CATL and consists of local appointees (CATLysts) within the faculties who work with CATL on various teaching and learning projects.
These people also often have broad responsibility for promoting teaching and learning within their faculty and to the broader UWA community.
The network promotes awareness of interesting developments and best practice within UWA and elsewhere and keeps the University abreast of current developments and trends in teaching and learning
In 2011/2012 the formal CATLyst network has been put on hold to focus instead on the assessment and feedback project currently underway, sponsored by the Teaching and Learning Committee and coordinated by CATL. This project uses a similar structure to the network, in that each faculty has nominated a staff member to work with CATL on the project.
In the future, it is likely that the CATLyst network will continue to focus on specific projects of one or two years duaration, with the faculty representatives and the structure of the network changing depending on the specific project or issue being pursued
CATL welcomes suggestions about projects and activities which may be relevant to the CATLyst network, please contact us.
