Publications

National Teaching Quality Indicators Project
The National Teaching Quality Indicators Project responds to the need for an agreed approach to recognising and rewarding quality teaching and teachers in higher education. A key aspect of recognising quality teaching is the development and implementation of agreed indicators and metrics in universities and across the Australian university sector.
Postgraduate student interns publications
As part of the Postgraduate Teaching Internship Scheme participating students are encouraged to publish the results of a research project into an aspect of teaching and learning practice at the annual WA Teaching and Learning Forum. Copies of the students’ papers can be downloaded and provide a valuable resource of UWA teaching and learning scholarship
Improving Student Learning Grant reports
The Improving Student Learning Grants provide small grants to encourage teachers to make practical and innovative changes to their units to improve current practice. Reports from previous grants are available for download and provide a valuable resource of UWA teaching and learning scholarship
CATLyst
CATLyst is an occasional publication from the Centre for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning which aims to act as a catalyst for ongoing dialogue around issues of teaching and learning. Its purpose is threefold: to showcase innovative approaches to teaching and learning at UWA, to promote and support good teaching and learning practices, and to provide a forum for engaging with key issues in teaching and learning.
Other useful publications
The University of Saskatchewan in Canada publishes a comprehensive list of journals in teaching and learning, many of which are available online.

Colloquium 2011

CATL and the Educational Strategies Office hosted the third Teaching and Learning Research colloquium in 2011 as an opportunity for UWA staff to share their teaching and learning research and scholarship with their peers.
