Staff Development Committee

The Staff Development Committee, which was established in January 1994 to replace the Academic Staff Development Committee, advises the Vice-Chancellor on matters relating to the development and training of all University staff.

These matters include advising on the promotion of staff development, on staff development policy, and on systems for Academic Staff Development Review and general staff performance appraisal. The Committee makes recommendations for staff development activities which are identified by a number of means, including by the Teaching and Learning Committee, the Research Committee and the Advisory Group on General Staff Development.

The Committee meets every two months.
