I see the message "You have not yet added any courses to myWebCT"
This message means you do not yet have access to any WebCT units. UWA students cannot add courses themselves. UWA students are automatically added to WebCT units each semester according to their current enrolment, this takes place at the beginning of each semester. If the semester has begun and you still receive this message please confirm your current enrolment using the Student Access system, noting that enrolment changes may not appear immediately in WebCT. Contact your unit coordinator for approval of access outside regular semester dates.

I am logged into WebCT but cannot see one of my units
Only enrolled students will be loaded into WebCT units, there may be a delay with enrolment changes. Please confirm your current enrolment using the Student Access system. If you are listed in the Student Access system but still cannot see the WebCT unit, contact your unit coordinator for immediate access.

I have changed my enrolment but do not yet have access to the WebCT course
There may be a delay of up to 24 hours for WebCT to recognise the change in enrolment. If access to the course is required in a more timely manner please see the unit coordinator.

Technical Problems

Do I need to configure my browser?Yes. WebCT does not support all browsers. To find out whether your browser is supported go to:
http://www.webct. com/exchange/viewpage?name=exchange_browser_tuneup

Is WebCT compatible with both PC and Mac?
Yes. WebCT is online and accessed only through a browser compatible to your computer. It is possible for files within your courses to be system specific, in this case please contact your unit coordinator.

I've installed Windows XP SP2 and can't view popup windows. What do I do?
The new Windows XP Service Pack (SP2) includes a popup blocker. This feature can potentially cause problems with WebCT. If you've installed the new service pack and are having problems with popup windows in some of WebCT's tools/features, such as Discussion Boards, Mail or Quizzes go to: http://www.students.webct.uwa. edu.au/faq/windowsxp_sp2

Can I use the Firefox Browser with WebCT?The Mozilla Firefox browser is not a supported WebCT browser and so we recommend that you use an alternative supported browser to access WebCT.

That being said, many users prefer Firefox and have been able to successfully use it to access WebCT without any hinderances. However, two new security flaws have been discovered in Firefox browser version 1.0.3 and below. We recommend that you use an alternative browser until a patch addressing these flaws is released from Mozilla.
