Papers, Abstracts and ProposalsYou may submit a: Research Paper to the refereeing process. Papers of no more than 5000 words for publication need to comply with DEST criteria (http://www.dest.gov.au/sectors/research_sector/online_forms_services/documents/specs2005_pdf.htm). Professional Practice Paper to the refereeing process. Papers of no more than 5000 words for publication on teaching practices, professional development and/or showcases of innovations in teaching and learning need to comply with the criteria established by the Teaching and Learning Forum (below). Paper that is non-refereed and not for publication in the proceedings. An abstract of 300 words must provide sufficient detail to assist delegates in making their selections. Abstracts should be formatted according to the guidelines listed below. Proposal for a Workshop. A two-page proposal (including references) must address the issue and provide an outline of the workshop structure and pedagogical principles, and the learning outcomes for participants. Proposal for an Activity Session. A one-page proposal must describe the activity and the outcomes for participants, indicate the type of activity (eg print poster, web-based poster, demonstration or bright idea) and the resources required.
